Project Location: Buena Vista, Saskatoon, SK
★★★★★
“Genevieve and her team designed and installed all the landscaping for our new home. They did it in a professional and timely manner - despite a lot of supply chain issues that were out of their control.
Genevieve brought a lot of creativity to bringing our desired look to reality and always provided options to achieve it. She was was very patient as we made modifications to plans as they developed.
We are really pleased with the results and would recommend Prairie River Gardens to anyone who is looking at a new landscaping installation.”

“You’ll be able to say you’ve landscaped an entire city block!” Our clients joked. This beautiful infill is the third one we have worked on, on this street!
This yard is a great example of a minimal design that went straight to build. I won’t even share the sketch I did for this yard, it is so rough! Our clients requested that their landscaping marry with the Scandinavian style they had chosen for their home. Large concrete slab floating steps were on the wish list but the slope was too minimal so we compromised and went with these large irregular pathway pads. Custom poured by Kevin of Procrete Concrete Services. Our brick patio in the backyard and staggered brick pathway from front to back was laid by Dillan of Brick By Brick YXE.
Our clients had their eyes on custom gates from Remnant Steel. Naomi owns, operates and designs the steelwork for Remnat Steel. It was such a pleasure to work with Naomi! She was so patient with me. This was my first yard working with custom gates so it took me some time to get my measurements just right! The gates turned out beautifully and they throw the most interesting shadow across the brick patio in the back.
I tucked native Tufted Hair Grass and Anise Hyssop into the front yard planting which features a Korean Maple. The Korean Maples outstanding red colour in fall will remind our clients of their Eastern Canadian roots.
